Fire Retardant Cladding
On Many Large commercial or Government/Local Authority projects fire retardant claddings are required in certain areas of the building.
We can offer two different processes of fire treated materials.
A/ Class 1 or Class 0 fire retardant treatment from Arch Chemicals to BS476 parts 6 & 7. Delivery Period 5-6 weeks.
B/ Firecote X - A fire retardant system whereby the coating is put through a machine or sprayed on.
Firecote X will achieve the European Standard EN 13823:2002, which is an equivalent to BS 476 part 7 Class 0 Fire treated. (PDF enclosed)
This treatment has been approved on many contracts in the UK as an equivalent to British Standard Class 0.
The main advantage between the two different type of treatment is the lead time, materials coated with Firecote X can be turned around in 2-3 weeks.
Price for either type of treatment will be given on receipt of our customers specification.
